Detailed Care Guide
Light: Medium indirect sunlight. If the leaves are growing pale the plant needs more light.
Water: Water once in two weeks. Let the soil dry out before watering. Drain well after watering.
Pet-friendly: The plant is toxic if ingested.
Humidity: The plant will do well in medium to low humidity. In high humidity levels ranging from 50%-70% the plant will show extraordinary growth. Mist the leaves regularly to maintain humidity.
Temperature: The plant prefers average warm temperature. 65℉-85℉ should be good enough.
Fertilizer: Feed the plant every month in growing season for outstanding growth however the plant will grow just fine if fed after 2-3 months. Use a liquid balanced houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength.
Repotting: Being a fast growing plant it requires to be repotted every year. If the roots are hanging below the drainage holes and the soil is cracking up, repot. Choose a pot 2 times larger than the original pot. In soil mix use high amounts of perlite, peat moss and shredded bark.
Common Problems
Yellow Leaves: If the plant leaves are turning pale and yellow then it is receiving too much light. Yellow leaves are not the end point of your Pothos, change the location of the plant where there is not too much bright light.
Brown Edges: If you notice brown edges or brown leaves throughout the plant then it is overwatered. Let the soil dry out between watering sessions. If only the lower leaves i.e., older leaves are turning brown but the new foliage is okay, then the plant is not getting enough water or soil is getting too dry because of uneven watering. To fix this you can cut off the brown edges so that the plant focuses on the rest of the leaves as well and try not to let the plant sit in dried soil for too long.
