Light: Bright indirect sunlight.

Water: Water twice a week. Never let the soil dry out.

Pet-friendly: Mildly toxic if ingested.

Humidity: This plant requires high humidity levels, preferably above 60%. Mist the leaves twice daily. If this sounds like a lot of work then invest in a humidifier or place the plant in a shallow tray of water and pebbles.

Temperature: Begonias like relatively warm temperatures. Above 65℉ is ideal.

Fertilizer: Since this is a flowering plant, feed every 2 weeks in the growing season for excellent blooms. Use a liquid fertilizer high in phosphorus and diluted to half strength.

Repotting: This plant grows best when its root bound which means that it's better not to repot until utterly necessary i.e., when the pot loses balance. Choose a pot not larger than 2 inches than the original. Regular houseplant mix is okay with relatively less perlite content.

Brown crispy Leaves: Underwatering your plant causes its leaves to turn brown from the edges and eventually become crispy. Begonias require two watering sessions per week. If this sounds like a lot of work then you can invest in a self watering pot. However if you are already giving enough water but the plant still doesn't seem happy then it needs more sunlight. Begonia maculata requires a lot of bright light to survive. Place the plant in front of a window.

We deliver all our orders within 3 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order. Standard delivery is free.

Express Shipping - AED 35:
Orders with express shipping will ship within 1-2 business days and have shipping charges of AED 35. One charge covers your entire order, regardless of how many items.

You can also have your package delivered on a specific day through express shipping at a cost of AED 35.

Return Policy:
Plants and pots are fragile, and occasional damages are inevitable despite our efforts. If your order arrived damaged, let us know at help@plantale.ae within 15 days so we can replace it as part of our 15-Day Customer Happiness Guarantee. Photos are required as proof of damage and to help us improve our packaging process. Otherwise, we cannot offer returns or exchanges at this time. If your damaged plant or pot is no longer in stock, we will refund you or offer a replacement. Due to the fragile nature of the plant, some imperfections are inevitable and can be caused by transport and handling.

Tip: Sometimes plants just need a little TLC after being in transit. One of our plant care experts may coach you through how to overcome something cosmetic, such as bent leaves.
