Monstera deliciosa, commonly known as ‘Swiss cheese plant’, has a very controversial history because it was categorized in the wrong plant family (which was pretty sad). But this sturdy plant did not lose hope and secured a special place in the hearts of plant lovers because of its distinctive big bold splitted leaves that can grow upto 20 inches. The tip of the talk is, if you are in hurly-burly to make your indoors look stunning with indoor plants with a touch of tropical vibes then this split-leaf philodendron is at your service.

Detailed Care Guide
Light: Medium bright indirect sunlight. In low light this plant will get leggy and produce small leaves. Too much bright direct light will burn its leaves.
Water: water them once a week. They like their soil moist at all times but not soaking wet. Before watering, stick your finger an inch deep to check soil moisture. If the soil feels almost dry then it's time to water it. Water it thoroughly and let it drain out completely.
Pet-friendly: The plant is not pet-friendly.
Humidity: They thrive in high humidity levels. maintain the humidity above 60% to keep the plant healthy. To maintain this level of humidity mist the leaves daily or use a humidifier.
Temperature: Ideal temperature is 65℉-85℉.
Fertilizer: The plant is a heavy feeder. Feed monthly during the growing season. Use a complete (20:20:20) liquid fertilizer diluted to ¼ strength.
Repotting: When the plant starts to outgrow its pot i.e when the roots start growing out of the drainage holes at the pots base, repot the plant. This typically happens after 2 years. This plant likes a well-draining soil preferably a mixture of perlite, peat moss and pine bark.
Common Problems
Crispy browning leaves:
This usually happens due to lack of moisture or maybe you're letting the plant sit in dried soil for longer periods between waterings. The plant prefers moist soil at all times.Review your watering schedule and water at least once a week.
Yellowing leaves:
This happens when the plant is being over-watered. Always check the soil before watering by sticking your finger 2 inches deep into the soil. If the soil feels dry to touch only then water it. If it's wet then wait a day or two.
Curling or wilting leaves:
This can happen due to a number of reasons. Most common reason is the lack of humidity. Make sure the plant isn't receiving direct cold or hot air. Usually this plant does well in normal room humidity which is around 50% but if your house is relatively too dry then use a humidifier or place the plant in a tray of water and pebbles.

You can also have your package delivered on a specific day through express shipping at a cost of AED 35.
Return Policy:
Plants and pots are fragile, and occasional damages are inevitable despite our efforts. If your order arrived damaged, let us know at help@plantale.ae within 15 days so we can replace it as part of our 15-Day Customer Happiness Guarantee. Photos are required as proof of damage and to help us improve our packaging process. Otherwise, we cannot offer returns or exchanges at this time. If your damaged plant or pot is no longer in stock, we will refund you or offer a replacement. Due to the fragile nature of the plant, some imperfections are inevitable and can be caused by transport and handling.
Tip: Sometimes plants just need a little TLC after being in transit. One of our plant care experts may coach you through how to overcome something cosmetic, such as bent leaves.
